Point Score Times
Was superb to see so many new swimmers taking part in their first point score last weekend. We will have promotion news sent out via email next week, but for now, the swimmer times are posted here.
135 PBs 
M&D Prog B Final
Well done to our older swimmers finishing third in this season’s Prog B final, behind Glossop and champions Trafford Mets. A tremendous competition on Sale last Sunday saw many new PBs and our team finishing in front of local rivals Flixton (4th) and Altrincham (5th).
The full result is now published on the M&D Swimming website and it’s great to be able to report that our Boys team won their competition, beating Trafford Mets into second place by 7 points. Well done guys:

Yet another exciting evening of racing, with Flixton Swim Team taking the honors @StretfordSV. We were really proud of our young squad finishing third overall, the majority of our team competing in an event like this for the first time. We hope you all enjoyed it.

New Training Times: Saturday & Sunday
We have 45 minutes new swim time for Intermediate and Performance swimmers starting this weekend.
We will start 30 mins earlier on Saturday, at 7:30.
Sunday training sessions will start earlier for all groups as below:
4.00-5.00pm – Mini Dolphins and Junior Dolphins
5.00-6.15pm – Intermediate 1&2
6.15-8.00pm – Performance 1&2 (same end time)

Entry forms are all due to be handed in by 11 January.
We’ve created a new programme, resulting in a change to the Silver 50m promotion times, event running order (Gold, then Silver followed by Bronze events) and a change to the start time from the start of this year.
The changes are:-
Event 1,2 and 3 = 100 Back then 50 Back then 25 Back
Event 4,5 and 6 = Gold alternative, Silver Alternative, Bronze alternative
Event 7,8 and 9 = 100 Breast, 50 Breast, 25 Breast
Event 10,11 and 12 = 100 Fly, 50 Fly, 25 Fly
Event 13, 14 and 15 = 100 Free, 50 Free and 25 Free
Silver New Times
50 Freestyle = 40.00
50 Breaststroke = 51.00
50 Backstroke = 46.50
50 Fly = 45.70
The Pointscore warm up will now commence at 5.10pm for a 5.30pm start.

One Weekend / Three Galas
Christmas Cracker
Tremendous swimming after our unexpected journey to Sale Leisure (thank you TMBSC and Trafford Leisure). A 25th swimmer gained a Lancs qualifying time (well done Noah LT).
26 gold medals, 7 silver and 19 bronze wrapped up the year with plenty of bling.

Sno’pen Brings LC PBs aplenty
A small band of swimmers headed over to the final Ling Course gala of 2018, COMAST’s Sno’pen, delivering a hatful if LC PBs. Well done everybody. 8 gold medals, 5 silver and 6 bronze. Swimmer times are below:
Trafford Borough Gala
Another exciting weekend of racing against our #BoroughBuddies. Our winning streak ended, but lots of good times. Well done everybody. Times are here:
National Arena Swim League
what an awesome result on Saturday. Promotion in successive years, finishing second this season to City of Stoke, having been ranked fourth going into the final. Brilliant effort from the team, focused, determined and still swimming fast after Club Champs.

2018 Club Championships Role of Honour / Records
What a great weekend of swimming in this season’s Club Championships. The third oldest championship record broken by Erin H by 1/100th of a second (Clare Crewdson’s 1983 100m Butterfly) amongst 20 other new records set. Asking around after the event, there was nobody to recall 21 records going in a single Championships. Nearly every swimmer set at least 1 PB during the event, near enough 70% of swims being new best times.

Having said goodbye to that 1983 record, the three oldest records are now:
1977’s Boys (9y) 25m freestyle 16.20 seconds
1988’s Girls (10/11y) 50m freestyle 31.71 seconds
1990’s Boys (14y under) 200m IM 2.25:80
