Water Polo

:Stretford has a proud history of water polo and the club has won numerous national titles at both Junior and Senior Ladies level in the 1980s and 1990s.

Stretford Junior Water Polo Section.

We are a friendly club that is open to boys and girls aged between 7 and 16.  We aim to provide a safe environment for them to make new friends, have fun, improve their fitness and learn to play a new team sport.

We have teams at U12, U14, and U16 and play matches in local leagues, so our players have the chance to test their skills against children from other clubs in the North West.

Players from Stretford have also had the opportunity to play for other teams, including City of Manchester, North West, England and Great Britain.

The game involves a lot of swimming, so children need to be able to swim at least 25m using a recognised stroke when they start.

Training is at Stretford Leisure Centre on Saturday afternoons, 16:00 to 17:00 for beginners/improvers and 17:00 to 18:00 for intermediate. On Monday evening from 19:45 to 21:00 for advanced.

If you have a child who is interested in trying water polo or  you would like to know more information about the junior section then please contact us on stretfordjwpc@gmail.com
