Point Score Results Season 2016/17
A fantastic season of point score racing resulted in one of the Webb’s winning again this season, the other just missing out on defending his title.
Congratulations to Eva for winning this year with 147 points, just pipping Ana by two points and Eleanor just six points further back.
The boys event was just as tight, with Reuben just taking Jack’s title, again by two points and Alex three points further back.
A superb season of racing. Well done to our winners.

Inter-Association Team Gala
We had two swimmers representing Bolton & Manchester Swimming Association at the recent Inter Association team gala. We should be rightly proud of both swimmers, particularly when we receive the comment below from one of the officials of the association:
“Chiara and Reuben did a wonderful job of representing Bolton and Manchester at today’s IA Meet and thereby also representing Stretford.
Please thank them both for getting a bucket load of points between the two of them.”
The team finished second behind Liverpool & District and full results are on the M&D website:

M&D Team Gala 11th June
Whilst the overall result was a disappointment, finishing fourth, we were up against all three of our excellent Trafford Borough opponents for the first time in M&D this season.
We’ve beaten them before earlier this season in this gala and racing is so close between all the four teams, it could quite easily be a different result if we raced next week. Nevertheless, excellent times again from both established and new members of the team, the details of which are found in the link below.
Trafford Metro Open Gala (14 May)
Another belated post, this time from the Trafford Mets gala in May. The swimmer times are now published in the club format and are below:
Some awesome swims during the day, almost two thirds of which were PBs (Conner knocking 27 secs off one of his times) and a really good return on medals (16) from a total of 77 swims. Congratulations to those taking part in their first open gala and also to our medalists:
Ana (2 G); Grace (1G, 3B); Vanessa (1G); Alex (4G, 1S, 1B); Jae-den (1G, 1S, 1B)
Congratulations Swimmers
Well, it’s been a couple of weeks since the invite lists were published so whilst we are overdue to say so, we are pleased to be able to congratulate four of our swimmers who have qualified for National Championships 2017 at the end of July:
Alana: 800m freestyle
Chiara: 200m freestyle; 100m backstroke; 100m butterfly; 200m I.M.
Alfie M: 50m freestyle; 50m butterfly
Jared: 100m and 200m freestyle.
On top of that, we are overjoyed that Chiara also qualified for the British Summer Champs taking place at the start of August:
50m and 100m freestyle; 50m backstroke; 50m butterfly
Have a great time at each event, #swimfast and enjoy. #WeAreStretford and proud of you all.
