Swim Trafford Early Bird Gala result 17.09.16
I want to say a huge well done to all the swimmers who raced at the Swim Trafford Early Bird meet on Saturday 17th September. I was pleased to see PBs and medals for many of our swimmers and good race skills on show from all those involved. Our team spirit was obvious from the chanting and encouragement for swimmers while they raced. Lets keep that up!
We are coming into a busy few months for team galas and open meets so keep training hard if you want to see positive results. It is important to remember that while medals are fantastic, gaining PBs shows swimmers their own personal improvement. Everyone had at least one PB which reflected the great effort I’ve seen in training over summer and in the early part of September.

Stretford ASC Club Records 30.08.16
Stretford has a lot of competitions through the year but so far only one – Club Champs – has a set of club records for swimmers to aim at. We have decided to establish this set of records for all age groups to recognise fast swimming and offer target times for those who want extra motivation to work hard. These records go from 7 years of age right up to the open (18+) age group and the age group relates to the swimmer’s age on the day they race. Record keeping began in January 2016 so there are many records still to be set. Times will be recorded whenever anyone swims under the Stretford name.
