Swim England North West Regional Championships
We had a number of our swimmers competing – either for Stretford or representing City of Manchester Aquatic Swim Team (COMAST) – over the three weekends of the Swim England North West Regional Championships. These are prestigious championships, involving the top swimmers from across the North West of England, and given the strength of swimming in the region it is an achievement to qualify to compete in them.
Congratulations to all of our swimmers who competed in them.
The swimmers representing Stretford can find their times here.
Particular mention to our swimmers who claimed medals over the weekends while representing COMAST – Erin Hoyland won bronze medals in the 800m freestyle and 400m individual medley, and a silver medal in the 1500m freestyle; Jake Christon won gold medals in the 50m backstroke, 200m freestyle and 400m freestyle, a silver medal in the 50m freestyle and bronze medals in the 100m freestyle and 800m freestyle; Chiara Tommasello won gold medals in the 50m and 100m freestyle and 50m and 100m backstroke; Reuben Rowbotham-Keating won gold medals in the 50m/100m/200m butterfly, 100m/200m/400m freestyle, and a silver medal in the 200m Individual Medley.
