Our online diary had just been updated for the new swimming timetable before Lockdown 2 was announced. Rather than update this to show our Zoom sessions, please take note of the program below.
Please follow your group sessions and aim to attend at least the number of sessions you attended each week.
As announced at Point Score, we will be running a Timekeepers course on 22 March (R4 Point Score). We need volunteers to run our events and gaining qualifications allows us to run our registered galas later in the year.
We also would encourage parents to look at the next stage of becoming an official – Judge 1 (J1). We need parents to support us at this stage too, not just for the above events, but also it’s a requirement for the club to have registered officials for events such as Arena League. Most of this next stage is online and information about becoming a J1 is posted below:
There is no training on either of May’s Bank Holiday Mondays, due to Stretford SV being closed early.
The timetable for summer training. Diary to be updated.
After an awesome effort at our fundraiser at Tesco (£750 in the coffers after bag packing – next one on 12 March), Point Score saw 2/3 of swimmers setting PBs. Congratulations to those swimmers hitting the ASA sprint times to be promoted:
Vanessa Anjampalange; Aoife Carey; Katheryn Davies; Lois Dobson; Anita Oboavwoduo; Eleanor Patterson; Sandalia Walker.
Olivia Butt (our January swimmer of the month); Ruby Cole; Eloise Flower; Scarlett Lazenby-Tracey; Oliva Marshall; Grace Rowbotham-Keating.
A challenging first Central Lancs gala of the season v Wigan Wasps (you can read about them in the latest Swimming Times). It was good to have almost half the swims as PBs though.
